In recovery now (in May), I decided to have go at composing a tune,- random air, which I call "Coming Back."
This was no mean achievement in my baffled, recovering, stroke-ridden mind. I had, of course, to engage my yamaha keyboard, connect to my Desktop computer, find and command the music App, select music that matched my mood, play and record my chosen notes on the Yamaha and convert it into the music App; and then download the creation into the streaming services.
For the cover, I created a photo with my mobile phone, opened it into a Photoshop type of App, create the desired text, format the thing correctly and download the creation in the streaming service.
I was pleased to succeed (not without time and effort).
The image on the cover represents the blackness of the brain fog contrasted with the fresh green recovery. A black umbrella is photographed as the blackness, and my shoes are to be seen emerging from the green grass. Some faint rays of light also emerge from the dark.
The tune begins tentatively, then builds up some confidence, before fading back.
Soon I added a few new tunes:
Sitting in my garden listening to the song birds, I had the idea to compose a tune called "For The Birds. The main tune here is played on tin whistle (with vibrato added). The background is composed on the Yamaha."
Strolling lazily along, by the Tolk, I conceived the idea of "Meander."
Lastly, in this venture, I wished to set words to the Meander tune. Thinking of the events of Gaza, the tune I derived was "No Body Hears Me"
